GOLF-DRIVE DISTANCE WITH UNEVEN LANDING AREAS?
Play on links course with rolling/mounded/hilly fairways. How much is yardage decreased when a ball landing/rolling into a bump/mound or light rough have ?
Also, is it common to have a couple holes on the course where hitting a ball flush always comes up 15 yds less than usual? Wind is min 5mh sidewind.Fairway is flat/slightly uphill.
Another hole I can always count on it going 15 yds farther than norm. This like the first example is with minimal wind and normal-slight downhill elevation from tee box to fairway. Fway is much more bumpy though ,but wouldnt this slow ball down?

Regular flush hit would be 260-270+
but the ball only goes 240-250.
This is almost impossible to answer. Most of your answers are going to have to come from experience on your part. Carry a small notebook with you while you play and take notes.
I play a lot of golf in the Northwest where our fairways are always damp in the Winter. I don’t get any role from my drives. I have noticed that between Summer and Winter due to numerous factors, my game plays at least 20 yards shorter. Wind is tough because it will effect your ball flight differently each time. Try to hit more of a “knock-down” shot when hitting directly into the wind.
The temp. will also greatly effect your ball. Due to the coldness the ball will not compress as much.
IT is this type of variables that makes Golf so great…It is a different game each and every time you play, even the same courses.
