What types of sharks live in river mouths?

We were fishing in north carolina about 50-60 yds away from the ocean in a river mouth, on a dock about 2 feet above the waterand about 15- 20 yards into the river. we caught 2 sharks about 11-13 inches long with shovel like noses, they looked like mini grey tip reef sharks, but they only had black on the fins on top of them. they were very young, i found zero scratches on them, and we only caught them in the morning.
