What are the bullet drop figures for Federal’s Gold Medal Match 168 gr. .308 Win. round, muzzle to 1000 yds?
Looking for the drop figures in 100 yard increments for use as a starting point. Got the figures for the 175 gr. Gold Medal cartridge? I’d like to try that round as well.
Assuming Federal’s published muzzle velocity of 2600 FPS from a 24″ barrel, and using Sierra’s published ballistic coefficient of .477, you can expect a total drop of 483.7 inches, or a little over 40 feet. Notice that the 168 goes subsonic somewhere around 900 yards.
