how thick of balsa wood should i use on my model airplane?

i have designed an airplane and intend to make it out of balsa wood and light weight paper.

The question you asked brings lots more questions than answers.

How big is your wingspan, fuselage?
How far do you want to fly?
Built for speed or distance?
Chord of wing?
Propulsion or not?
