lampshade ribbon?

I have two lampshades that are wearing out. They are original to the clear glass lamps and the covering is just wide white ribbon that is wrapped over and over the wire frame. It is a special kind of ribbon or will any wide ribbon do? If it is a particular type of ribbon where can I buy it?

take a piece of the ribbon to a micheals or a joann, and see if you can find one just like it, most likely it not a special kind of ribbon. good luck
