White Double

Why is their such a double-standard for black and white women who want to learn more about eachothers culture?

Like if a white woman wants to learn more about African history and culture, it’s because she’s open minded, and just wants to know more about the world around her.
But if a black woman wants to learn more about European history and culture it’s because she hates herself, or because she wants to be white?
Why is that?

Never heard this and I’ve been around black women most of my adult life.
I am 54 with wide experience of life and consider myself qualified to offer the opinion that these “double standard” posts are based on the asker’s experiences with one or two negative people. If I based my opinion of an entire race on the negativity of a few, my life might have turned out very differently.
I think you will find that in the black community, a quest for education and knowledge is admired way more than it is among the white community; because most black people are raised to understand the value and desirablility of a good education along with the idea that knowing a little about most things is way better than knowing a lot about just one thing.
It is believed by some that the great Civil Rights pioneers of the past knew very little beyond that, whereas the truth is that many of these brave pioneering souls were actually highly educated people
