How can i use the scraps of my wedding dress to make a gift for my grandfather?

For my wedding i am wearing my grandmother’s wedding dress (who has recently passed away). My Grandfather has allowed me to have it, and to have it severely altered (I am shortening it to cocktail length). I would like to use the scraps to make something for my grandfather as a thank you, so he will still have a piece of his late wife’s dress. Any ideas what to do?

make him a photo album of the wedding, it doesn’t have to be a big expensive one, but one that will have several photos of you in the dress and of him at the wedding. then either cover it with the left over fabric from the dress or place a piece of the fabric in the photo album with a photo of your grandmother in that dress if you can get it, or just a nice photo of her. that would show him how meaningful the whole thing is to you.
