Trim Ribbon
What do you call the black trim on this wedding dress?
Hi I really like this dress and would like to find a similar trim but am not sure what I should search for as I am not sure what its called. Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8247911356&category=63851 Its not exactly lace nor is it ribbon so if you have an idea what exactly the trim would be called that would great. Thanks in advance.
The lace on the bodice is Viennese lace. You can probably find a similar lace applique at a fabric store. The trim at the waist is called a girdle (it’s a belt, but that’s the original term for it)made of black chiffon ribbon. Then there’s the black satin ribbon on the sleeves. Hope this helps you.
