How do you keep a toddler girl from taking her hair out?

My friend has a little 2 year old daughter, and everytime she puts barrets or pony tails in her hair, she takes them out! How can she make her daughter keep her hair in a style?

Would love to know the answers to that one, I have a 15 month old who doesn’t have enough hair yet for a pony tail but definatley needs a clip to keep her hair off her face. I spend half my day trying to put it back in her hair, and even try to distract her afterwards so she forgets about it, but that doesn’t always work. She was fine about till about a month ago and I don’t want to cut her hair yet!
