Does metal or tin foil help you tan your face?

Well you sometimes see people holding those metal things to their faces to tan their face and neck. Does it work? Do you think it would work if i put some tin foil over some cardboard?

All i know is, that tin foil has two sides. One side when you pull out of one of the products you see on tv commercials like Glad, it has a shiny side that reflects. The other side beneath the shiny one, is just a dull gray color. The shiny side is used just ot reflect the light… i don’t think that might help the light get your skin tan but who knows? Try it Out! But be careful, there are different types of solar flares.. you don’t wanna get burned on your face now do you? Oh, and when you do this, don’t wear make-up.. its just too risky!!!
