Why am I overweight?
Okay. im 12/13, and i weigh 134 pounds. My scale is whack, i swear, like i gain 5 pounds, lose 6, etc, but this is my guess. I am 5’0.
I eat healthy! whole wheat bread, skim milk, fiber one cereal, plenty of water and fruits and veggies. Yeah, sure, i have a weakness for snickers and oatmeal cookies, but who doesnt?
twice a month i eat pizza, no biggie.
i ride my bike for approx. 1 and a half each day, and three times a week i do workout inside (like crunches, etc). I also have PE for an hour each day, and then run around chasing people after lunch (our track is HUGE).
WHY AM I OVERWEIGHT?
my brother eats like a pig, never excerises , just sits on the computer all day and hes skinny and muscular and tan.
WHAT?
considering that you are active and you do work out often you may be overweight according to the scale, but right where you want to be for your fitness.
Muscle weighs more than fat, and working out caused muscle. Simple test: Pinch your stomach, if you can pinch more than an inch you have some fat to lose. If not then you are fit.
I have always weighed more than I look, so I know how frustrating it can be. When I was 13 I was 5’3″, wore size 3 jeans, and weighed 130 lbs. So of course I was considered to be overweight…even though I was really skinny.
