Why do manufacturers falsely promote hand-made as being superior in quality than robotic-made?

Manufacturers charge more for ‘hand-made’ goods too. Anytime a human is involved in making something, there are far more screw-ups in the product than if a robot made the product. Why continue the fallacy?

Actually, there are more screw-ups when the process is automated, and automated manufacture wastes more product because it doesn’t know when to stop producing.

The reason hand-made products are more expensive is because they use more human time than automated products do, and errors are usually caught in the process before getting packed.
