Sunshine Yellow

Sunshine Yellow
Is “her hair was sunshine yellow” a similie?

i need a couple poetic devices from a book i was just wondering if this qualified as one

Metaphor – a figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance
Ex.
My love is a red rose.

Simile – a figure of speech in which two unlike things are explicitly compared

Ex.
She is like a rose.

So when you see “her hair was sunshine yellow,” does it have like or as in the sentence? Nope

Therefore it is a Metaphor not a Simile.

Good Luck!!!
