i want to make a peace sign necklace to wear for a theme day… i need to make it and i have string fabric thread sequins paper and more… any ideas???please help!!
Hmmmmmmm, your list does not include a black permanent marker, clear nail polish, aluminum foil, cardboard, and glue. If you can find those things, I can tell you how to make an absolutely stunning necklace. You have something to wear it on (string, chain, whatever) so that’s no problem.
If your cardboard is lightweight, cut two identical circles and lightly glue them together — lightly so they don’t curl. Cut a circle from the cardboard the size you want your pendant to be. Poke a good hole at the top, about 1/4″ down from the edge. With white glue, draw a peace sign on the cardboard circle. Let it dry and add another line of glue over the first one. Let that dry, too. Don’t rush the drying. Your patience will be rewarded.
When it is totally and thoroughly dry, you have a raised design. Crumple a smallish piece of aluminum foil and straighten it back out. Roll it with a roilling pin for a really fun effect. Put the foil over your circle and make sure it covers in the back, too. Poke the hole again. Now, gently work the foil in around the raised design. Rub over it with the marker, then go over that with the clear nail polish. Rub most of the nail polish off with a clean scrap of cloth and throw that away. It will even things out and make it look like an antique silver piece. Have fun!
