I’m looking for a Pecan Pie recipe that’s mostly nuts?

We had a wonderful piece of pecan pie in a restaurant at the Stein Eriksen Lodge (Deer Valley, UT) not to long ago. I would love to find a recipe similar to it. It was mostly nuts and just a little bit of the filling. My husband is not a big fan of the typical pecan pies, but he loved this nutty version. Most of the recipes I find online are mostly filling with a cup of nuts and I do love those versions as well, but I’m looking for a nutty kind to make for Thanksgiving does anyone have a wonderful recipe.

I make mine with chopped pecan and whole for the top, if you use condensed milk the nuts will not sink, most people are to cheap with them, for my pies I use 1 cup of chopped or broken then 1 cup of whole that is to an 8″ pie crust, you need a forklift to eat one slice, if you melt the butter, sugar, dark corn syrup and the milk together and add the vanilla, the chopped nuts and let it cool then when you add the whole ones then will also stay on top.
