I have a salt water chocilate chip star fish problem?

my hermit crab is eating my star fish he is taking little pieces off and now the star fish doesn’t look so good and just lays on the bottom with legs curled upwards
please help

quarntine one of the critters I suggest the star fish and if it survives then remove the crab you should stick to mini crabs they will leave sea stars alone
