how do you put a messy bun in your hair for sports?

i’m in basketball and volleyball, and i don’t really like putting my hair back into a pony. so i try to use it as a messy bun. but i can’t get mine to look right. any tips?

I do messy buns all the time because I am a dancer. What I do is put your hair in a low ponytail. Then twist your hair clockwise then wrap it around counterclockwise (around the ponytail band thing holder…). After that put bobby pins in all around to keep it in place. It’s hard the first time you try but keep practicing it gets better! =)
