Skulls and crossbones?

Hi, all. I was looking at some sneakers online that are Vans, and have skulls on them. I think they are very cute. but, I live in Thailand and usually go along with whatever is cool in the US (home). I see it in the magazines and like it myself, but is it still cool or is it over? thanks for opinions!!

Yeah, they are kinda fading but still are worn.
