Silver White

how can i tell the difference from silver to white gold?

i have 2 chains 1 silver and 1 i think white gold, the 1 im not sure of on it it says italy 925 pgda. do u know if thatrs silver or white gold?

925 is sterling silver, while 585 is white gold.
