Does the Wellness shredded or cubed canned cat food contain less food than the pate?

My husband insist on me buying the pate bc he says it comes with way more food as its all concentrated in there and barely any gravy, but the shredded or cubed versions have more gravy in between the pieces. I prefer to buy these bc my kitten (3 months) actually eats all of it at once and its easier for him. With the one big block he eats its all, but keeps coming back to it. Probably takes him about an hour. Is my husband right? is the pate more solid food while the shredded and cubed are more gravy? I argued that 5.5 oz of cat food is 5.5 oz regardless, but he said that its more like 5.5oz of mostly gravy vs 5.5oz of solid food. That why he think the pate has more nutritional value. Is he right?

You can compare the guaranteed analysis portion as well. Pay particular attention to the moisture and protein levels. If the moisture & protein levels are the same among both, then i would not worry.

Here I just grabbed the chicken and you can see the cubed food has more moisture, less fat & protein. So in this case he would be right.. You could mess with the pate and see if he eats it faster. For example, mixing water in to make it a gruel, some cats will lap up more readily than a big chunk of pate. Or you could divide the pate into several smaller piles. Good luck!
