A miniature ocean life display
An ocean life bottle display will amuse youngsters and teach them the beauty of both ocean life as well as recycling. You need to find a 2000 ml plastic bottle, water, blue food coloring, vegetable oil, silver glitter,aquarium decorations, seashells and some glue. Remove the sticker label from the bottle and pour water in it until it is half full. Fill the remaining half with vegetable oil. Add some of the blue food coloring to recreate deep ocean water and pour in a few of the silver glitter. You can now put in artificial aquarium decorations just like artificial plants, fish-shaped toys and shells. Ensure the bottle cap is securely fastened by gluing it in place.
A candy goblet
Children who love magic-themed items will find a goblet-shaped candy holder recycled from a soda bottle both usable and amusing. You will need a plastic bottle, a crafting knife, craft adhesive and several decorations. Cut off the bottom of the bottle. Then put some crafting adhesive around the top hole of the bottle and attach it into the middle part of the base to create a goblet form. You could glue adornments like plastic gems on the surface to make the holder look more fascinating. Fill in the container with treats like gumdrops and other sweets.
An Easter basket
This project is perfect for Easter time. You will need a a clean, 2000 ml plastic soda bottle, adhesive tape, a hole punch, a pipe cleaner, adhesive as well as some Easter-themed decorations. First, cut away 4? from the plastic soda bottle to create the the base. Apply adhesive tape over the cut edge to make it smooth. Punch holes on two opposite sides of the basket using the hole punch. Insert a long pipe cleaner through the openings to make a handle. You can then attach on different decor that depict Easter time like stickers or recycled colorful paper cut into rabbit shapes or eggs. Finally, you can fill the basket with synthetic grass or decorated Easter eggs.
In addition to being practical, these craft projects can be great for teaching children the importance of recycling.
