Fun bowling games for a party?

We are having a party at the bowling alley for the high school bowling team I coach, and I am looking for some fun games to play — we have prizes to give out. I know about scotch doubles and no-tap. Any other ideas?

At the alleys I run we play a game called “Iron Man.” It’s more a game for a novice bowler. It helps with timing, rhythm, accuracy, and pressure situations. If you have your run of the alleys I suggest 1-24 lanes. You take between 2 and 6 bowlers and draw cards (ace-6). Ace is first the bowler goes if that bowler strikes they advance to the next lane. Bowlers go in order. Who ever strikes on the last lanes wins the match. You would think that the person get the ace card usually wins but most of the time they don’t. It’s a good time!

You can also play games called 10-pin, 9-pin, or even 8-pin runs. Usually in these games you don’t have that many lanes to work with and you can do this with a large number of people. Start your bowers bowling if your playing 8-pin run if the bowler gets 8 or more they stay in line in some cases advance to the next lane. If they get less than 8 then they get out of line or have to sit down. Who ever is the last person standing wins. Then you start over again this is a good time to.
