Satin Finish
I have a gloss finish hardwood floor in my entry way and want to put satin hardwood floors in the rest of the?
house. The installer said he can change our entry way gloss floor to satin by lightly sanding it and spraying it with a satin finish to match the other satin floor i am putting in the rest of the house. Is it that easy to change it from gloss to finish? Will this not look good or should it out instead of try to change it to satin?
When I painted my kitchen table I used a gloss paint for durability. I painted it black and the gloss really gave it an 80′s lacquer look. So for the polyurethane I choose a satin finish. I was very doubtful it would take the shine away but it did. I love it.
I used my table for comparison because I know the they also make the floor finishes in the same three choices – gloss, semi-gloss, and satin.
