will powdered sugar make color fondant lose color ?

for my sons birthday cake i’m am using Satin Ice Black Rolled Fondant. I know you are suppose to put powdered sugar on the table so it doesn’t stick. Will the white powder Sugar make my black fondant gray. Please let me know i’m thinking of buying the powder food coloring. I don’t want to find out on the day i make the cake I’ll be SOOO disappointed.
I’m preying the coloring in the fondant will change the powder sugar black.

Basically NO.

I teach food technology and one of the main problems I find is people over use the amount of powdered sugar they use on the table. Fondant icing is not too sticky if you don’t over handle it. Use the smallest amount you need and sometimes non at all. If it is not sticking do not add any extra sugar.

This small amount of sugar you have dusted the table with will blend into the icing colour and will not be noticeable.

If your icing turns gray you are using way too much powdered sugar on the table.
