of all the pheasant species in asia, why did we only import the ringneck?
or why was the ringneck the only one that took off? there are some pretty hardy species of pheasant that live in the himilayas and such, so i would think they could fare well. kinda wish they would have brought about a half dozen differennt species back in the day. obviously we know too much about our ecosystems now to do such a foolish thing. but it would have been nice if they had made a couple more mistakes way back then.
