HELPP! Lab about investigating chemical reactions!?
So my chemistry teacher gave me this lab about investigating chemical reactions. I already did the lab and now I have to do the take home quiz which is incredibly difficult!
It asks me to write the proper chemical equation for all 5 of the reactions, along with the evidence (already did it) and tha category of chemical reactions it belongs in (single replacement reaction, combustion, etc.) I am terrible at this and desperately need your help, please email me or something if you can help me with this and I can explain to you in more detail the experiments we did.
1. Obtain a sample of magnesium ribbon and drop it into hydrochloric acid.
2. Obtain lead (II) nitrate and mix with potassium idodide solutions.
3. Drop an aluminum wad into 15 mL of copper (II) chloride.
4. Heat up magnesium ribbon.
5. Obtain hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide solutions and take pH tests on each, than mix together and take pH test.
Do you know whether they are (aq), (g), (l), or (s)??
Mg + HCl = MgCl2 +H2
Pb(NO3)2 + KI = PbI + NO2 +NO
Al + CuCl2 = AlCl3 + Cu
Mg +O2 = MgO
HCl + NaOH = NaCl + H20
