How can I improve my bedspread?

I bought a bedspread less than a month ago, but I decided that it’s just not me. I

you def could do ribbon for sure.. not only stripe but you could do it almost in a plaid..something like this..

and use throw pillows that have bright fun colors and patterns and incorporate the grey-aqua to match it all up.

My cousin got this huuuuuge oversized sheet ( a duvet sheet is what it’s called) to put on top her bedspread. She didnt sew it on..she just put it on..so when she needed to wash it..she just took it off and then put it back on. presto..very easy
