Best way to plant in aquarium?
Right now I’ve got about 50 pieces of grass, 6 ribbon and 6 peacock ferns and I’ve got them all held down by gravel. And now I got this idea, wouldn’t it be better if there was soil? Now tell me if this would work. I’d fill the bottom of the tank with about 2 inches of topsoil and plant everything there. OR if I wanted it to be less dense, get a small container of soil and plant everything in that. Ideas?
No a good idea depending on what kind of soil you plan on using it you’ll do way more harm with all the chemical in the soil. Get a substrate that’s meant for aquarium check out plantedaquarium.com and the soil they have. They sell them by the gallons, its way more beneficial to your plants. Also if you’re going to add a rich substrate dont forget lighting and a med-high light in power.
