Ribbon Meadow
Again Again Again Again, but what do you think?
A ribbon hung from my hair
And moved ever so slightly
Reminding me of my lovers touch
“What a lady I was.”
But there was no wind to move the ribbon,
and no need for my mind to drift
No reason for me to be here in such a nostalgic state
But I was just there, with a mind that would never understand itself
and in the stillest silence one could have endured
I don’t require a reason
“Darling there is no problem remembering what we were…”
Yes…
My most forgiven memory, the one that brought me to tears, the one that made me remember how I thought a love such as ours could never bring me tears…
grass stained faces
crashed into a brook together
much like childish play
after passing meadow upon meadow to find such
watery bliss
tired out of our minds
but finding comfort in each other
“Those words upon paper do not bring you back .”
“But do they take me away?”
With innocent eyes I wish you could see
woah super vogons
The poem is good…
and the last portion is
“grass stained faces
crashed into a brook together
much like childish play
after passing meadow upon meadow to find such
watery bliss
tired out of our minds
but finding comfort in each other”
It is really really superb…the real outcome of a poetic mind I call it…
keep writing…you have that emotional power in your lines which most poets nowadays fail to bring out…
