Will punching a glass table get me put in the psych ward?

Not really.

You only get put in the psych ward if you are a danger to yourself or others.

If you punched the glass and said that you were going to cut yourself with the glass or something like that, than you would be brought to the hospital emergency department for an evaluation by a psychiatrist.
