How did the human learn for the first time that he thinks with his brain?

With the technology of 20th century we could record the signal that our brain makes while thinking. But I’m wondering how the primitive humans learned that they thought with their brain. I put my self in their position and I give them the right to doubt if they thought with their heart, for example.
But without the modern technology humans knew they thought with their brain, but how?
I doubt if they could understand it when they cut someone head, because of course it’s too late to understand when you are dead.
But headache while thinking makes sense a little bit.

They do? As far as I can tell, most people do not think with their brain. How else could media and the last two presidents proclaim nuclear power is safe and clean? Have you been to the Ukraine lately? I didn’t think so.

I tend to side with a Greek philosopher who felt that the brain was a cooling mechanism similar to today’s car radiator. This theory would better explain nuclear power, financial meltdowns, lack of government oversight in the food and drug industries, and many other hazards of living today. If you are like many mean you think with your little head.
