Not sure what dance class to pick – pom-poms or Jazz?

I’m new to the art of dance but have a 11 year old who wants to take some sort of dance class, she is thinking something along the lines of pom-poms or jazz. She’s really into cheerleading, what types of dance are there that are along the lines of that?
I would love to let her take both but with the loss of jobs it’s just not in our finances, with 5 kids all wanting to take some sort of class or sport at $30-$50 each a month it adds up & if I let one take 2 classes then I’ll have 4 others wanting to take 2 classes.

I would suggest letting her try both for a week or two and then let her decide which one she likes best.

If it’s cheerleading she’s in to, then the pom class might be beneficial, but a jazz class will teach her rythm, help with her flexibility, coordination, and overall technique. It also will depend on the quality of the dance studio.
