Plate Tag

can I register, tag, and lisense plate a vehicle with a permit? or do I have to have a lisense?

I live in washington state.I just got a new truck and I only have a permit. I need to know if I can get insurance and plates as well as register it with just an instruction permit.

Like the previous answer it is different in every state. In kansas they don’t care about your license when you go to do tags and registration. They just want the money for the taxes, all you have to provide is a title in your name and proof of insurance. I doubt that changes much from state to state since the main purpose of registering your vehicle is to create tax revenue. I’m not sure about insurance but would guess it is the same. They’re in the business to make money so as long as you’re not having wrecks and getting tickets I’d think they’ll want to sell you insurance. Best thing you can do is to contact an insurance agent and your local tag office and find out what the requirements are.
