Are chipped hard plastic beverage cups dangerous?

If a damaged hard plastic cup(the ones you get in restaurants) is chipped and ingesting into your system, could it be dangerous?

It could but your body is stronger than you think, liver, spleen and your stomach acid should kill it or get rid of it.
