According to the UP Filipino Dictionary, it is “Isdang-Bituin”.
According to Wikipedia, it is “Isdam-bituin”.
According to some Elementary Kids, it is simply “Istarpis”.
According to fishermen, it is “Bituing-dagat”.

Most of the older generations, however, would refer to it as “Estrella del Mar”, from Old Spanish, meaning ‘star of the sea’. In Modern Spanish, starfish is simply “Asteroidea”.
