What is the best paper for origami flowers?

ok so I am trying to find out which paper works best such as some pictures i found online have different color used throughout the flower what type of paper do they use for the crispness and the color design

A lot depends on the flower. Origami roses are often made of tissue paper because they are made in such a way that the twisting really brings out the organic puffiness of the tissue in a beautiful way. Most flowers are not going to be made of tissue though, because it is hard to work with and doesn’t take folds well. For my flowers, I like to use origami paper of various sizes. Most origami paper is white or a solid color on one side, and either patterned or a different solid color on the other. It’s generally these two different side that give the blend of color to folded flowers.

Origami paper can be a little expensive, though. I like to keep my eye out for sales on scrapbooking material and pick up packages of scrapbook paper. They’re generally sold in glue-bound pads, are already square in shape and are patterned on the front and white on the back. This makes them ideal for projects, and you can get them in bigger sizes than your typical origami paper. Just be careful that you don’t get cardstock by accident, because that is too thick and will crack, making for ugly flowers.
