Paper Fiber

Paper Fiber
is fiber from paper the same as the fiber from fruits that are edible?

i want 2 know if recycled paper cud b edible

Most “dietary fiber” is insoluble parts of plant cells (i.e. cellulose). The fibre in paper is the part of the tree that doesn’t dissolve during the pulping process, so it is similar to the fiber in whole grains, fruits, vegetables, etc. It probably would pass through your digestive system in pretty much the same way as regular food-based fiber does (absorb water, add bulk, carry unwanted material away, all the good stuff that dietary fiber does). However, paper has been processed with a lot of toxic chemicals, like bleaching agents and heavy duty solvents to remove the starches and sugars, and can also have a fairly low pH. Probably not the best thing for you to eat in any quantities.
