Any Natural Remedies For Corns on Dogs Pads?

Just wondering if anyone has any natural remedies for corns on dogs pad. I have had this problem before and had them surgically removed – only for them to come back!

Any suggestions?

Just wondering if your dog’s a greyhound because greyhounds get corns that are idiopathic? And surgery’s both a waste of money and hard on the dog for no good reason because the corns come back.

According to an article written by Dr. Mark Rubensohn called ‘Corns in Greyhounds’, there’s no permanent treatment. Some owners soak the foot, then shell the corn using dental elevators, topical use of Abreva, human corn and wart removers and laser surgery, but they come back.

You can buy padded boots called TheraPaws to help keep your dog comfortable.

My oldest grey had a corn on the large pad of his foot which actually came out after repeated soaking of his foot in epsom salts and just a bit of picking. So far, cross my fingers, it hasn’t come back.
