Silver jewellery – the silver link between body and soul

Silver jewellery combines the magical and the aesthetic. It is believed that they can protect us from evil power and they will bring health and happiness.

In the Antique world, astrologers worshipped silver as a metal that belongs to the Moon – its shining reminded them of the mystic radiance of the night sky Queen. The colour of silver is often associated with the Moon path. People believed that silver has sublime powers, but this is not just a superficial myth, because silver ions kill dangerous disease bacteria contained in water. Some viruses and bacteria such as those of diphtheria and typhus can be terminated in a silver container. “Silver cotton” and “Silver lint” soaked with silver nitrates are used for wound cure, because of silver’s disinfecting function. This is called oligodynamics. These features turn them into a metal with “magical” powers. Silver, gold and platinum are all Precious metals.

Because of silver`s shining white colour, its malleability, and its resistance to atmospheric oxidizing, silver has been used in manufacturing of coins, decorations and jewellery for a long time.

The “Soft” shining and silver`s flexibility allow a wonderful mixture of precious stones. The surface of well processed silver “absorbs” the colours of the accompaning  materials. As time passed silver lost its status of  a material showing wealth, but it has saved its fame of a metal showing refined style. Silver colour has never been out of date, as it is well combined with all colours and materials. No matter the height or the hair colour, silver stands out, with its steady colour, capable of making its way through everywhere and having a positive effect over the person and environment.
