How many of you realize soybeans, rice, corn, orange juice, and sugar we’re up more then the DOW in September?
I thought i should give everyone a dose or reality this morning…
The Dow…7.7% in gains.
Soybeans 9.5% in September.
Copper 10% in September.
Rice 10% in September.
Oil 11% in September.
Corn 12% in September.
Silver 13% in September.
Orange Juice 13% in September.
Cotton 17.5% in September.
Sugar 19.3% in September.
Other Currencies:
Swiss Franc – Up 4.6% in September
Euro – Up 7% (with Greece) against the Dollar.
Australian Dollars – 9%
How many of you realize the stock market rose because of the weakness in the dollar? And that in reality, even if you had all your money invested in stocks you lost wealth in September?
Happens every fall at harvest time
but I agree the $ is weaker , so the “up” is worth less then last year
