Advice please on walnut wood flooring.?

Live in an old house. In Jan I got the downstairs hallway done in real wood walnut flooring, sort of nice polished look finish. I am pleased with it and now decorating the main lounge. As you can see from the hall in to this room through part glass on the door decided to to this room the same, pretty big as it takes 20 mtrs of flooring. It is bought and paid for but now I am in a panic as if having company this is one of the main places I would entertain in. I know the wood is treated but how well will it stand drink spillages or even worse red wine?

Hi there, well it sounds just gorgeous, the rugs a good idea, but I personally would want to show it off, in fact I’ve never even heard of walnut flooring, but I bet there’s got to be some kind of seal protector just for that kind of wood, did you goggle it? or check with the manufacturer?,,,If not I know it sounds silly but just don’t allow red wine at the party, believe me I’ve actually been to party’s where it has not been allowed, white carpet and suede furniture etc,,,, people understood, or least pretended to lol,,,,but woods pretty durable I bet you can find something,,,post a picture Id love to see it,,,take care Elizabeth
