what colors do i mix to get a pale brown?

im an art student and im having trouble mixing colors.im trying to get a pale brown. in the picture it looks like it has blue in it…

Depends on the kind of paint and the manufacturer. It is all trial and error, and experience.

Brown is basically a very muted orange, so try mixing red and yellow (to make the orange) and add a bit of blue until you get brown… plus white to lighten. With oil paints, you can add some lemon or azo yellow and ultramarine blue to burnt sienna to get a brown.

Or, just buy a brown paint and add white.
