What dye should I use to dye a cotton t-shirt bright metallic gold?

I was looking at Procion dyes, but it appears they’d give me a nice orange-yellow color but not a gleaming metallic look. Any suggestions for a good dye? I’d prefer dye over fabric paint due to the amount of surface area I’d like to cover.

The best of the metallic fabric paints are probably Jacquard’s Lumiere line, but it’s going to stiffen the t shirt quite a bit.
