Metalic Velvet

If you had to choose between a purple velvet bag or a gold metalic look bag which would you prefer?

I am marketing a ladies grooming product. The kit will be sold in a drawstring pouch. I am trying to decide between a gold metallic finish vs. a purple velvet finish and would like people to let me know their preference. Thank you

purple velvet without a doubt
the reasons being, look back, as far back as you like, anything that was ever presented, ie-jewellery etc, has been so in dark velvet. be it black red purple navy blue and even dark green, its timelessly classic.
metallic not only looks cheap and gawdy, but comes and goes in and out of fashion, and will only appeal to a younger market

**purple velvet does not have a link with a royal crown, it was the royal robes that were produced in purple velvet, because it was the most expensive colour to produce, the little that was used in the crown was just to tie it in with the robes, the huge diamonds and precious stones are what made a crown special. only royalty wore purple as a sign of extreme wealth. that was 3-400 years ago, its classic status does however still hold strong today. So, what do you want your product to say? timelessly classic, or………
