Magnetic Tape

HOW are images captured onto magnetic tape?
Using light & magnetism… how are images & sound recorded, preserved & reflected?
The images are only converted in electric signal which are than recorded on the tape by magnetising the tape with the writing heads.
Tapes can be impressed either from analog or digital drives.
The magnetic tapes do not work like a film tape which can be seen by sending a light beam through it.
To read what is on a magnetic tape, you need a magnetic head which will pick up the signals transform them into electric signals and once amplified are used to drive a screen like the monitor you are looking at.
In a few words this include perhaps 12 hours lesson on recording on magnetic tapes.
