Unhealthy Lunches-Bad For Our Kids Health

When it comes to nutrition, the main problem among kids today are the quality of food that they eat. The effect of being in a modern world are foods with preservatives. Food preservation is the most common alternatives for those families who live in a modern society. Processed foods are high in sugar, fat and salt that often gives illnesses or certain diseases. Some of the illnesses and problems brought by eating too much processed food includes heart problems, poor performance in school, diabetes, liver diseases, and obesity.

Poor Performance In School

Academic failures and poor performances in school is one of the result when our kids do not get all the food nutrients that they need. Children also show poor results on their examinations as well as on any school activity that they do. Many of them also have a poor ability to concentrate or focus. If we want our kids to have a healthy mind and body, give them some nutritious food everyday.

Heart Diseases

Another negative effects of eating too much processed foods include heart diseases, high-blood pressure, and stroke. Many schools today prepare lunch foods like prepacked-food mixes, ketchup, potato chips, canned foods, pizza meat, hot dogs, some tortilla types, French fries, salad dressings, flavored rice, white bread, processed cheese, ham, luncheon meats, and other food that has preservatives.

Obesity

Eating too much preserved food often results to obesity. Processed foods are high in saturated fats and sugar. Some of the food that is high in fat includes French fries, fried chicken, processed cheese, hot dogs and pizza. Healthy and fresh foods like fruits and vegetables are the most common foods needed by their body to have all the nutrients they need. Healthy plate or lunch delivery from a credible restaurant like Ogden lunch delivery can be made when parents find it hard to prepare packed lunch for their kids because of busy schedules.

Liver Disease

The sugar content on those unhealthy food results to having a diabetes. This is a prevailing issue because many kids today love to eat hot dogs and hams.

Lack of Nutrients

 

Processed foods are unhealthy, five our kids some food that are high in vitamins and minerals like fresh fruits, nuts, plain rice and vegetables. Kids need to eat healthy foods that are high in vitamins and minerals, it is proper to give them healthy and nutritious food.
