Lovely Velvet
I need a title for a poem?
i asked family, friends, and facebook, and got nothing i could use. so here it is:
Day is breaking
I am shaking
Staring down at you
Such a lovely view
There beside your head
Lying in our bed
A little velvet box
Shaking in my socks
A little diamond ring
Shiny little thing
Bought it just for you
May my wish come true
Hope you will accept
The promise I have kept
I love only you
Darling, this is true
My hopes, my dreams, my fears
All involve you dear
May my fears all die
The moment that your eye
Falls upon this box
Ring with little rocks
May you slip it on
As you rise with dawn
I’ll be waiting near
Darling, till I hear
The words that you will say
Darling, so I pray
Lay my fears to rest
As you tell me “Yes.”
I think this is such an awesome poem and what a
creative and beautiful way to ask ur love to marry you!
