What do I need to replace a door lock cylinder in a 2000 Chevy Cavalier?

My front driver side lock stopped working and it needs to be replaced. Do I need just the cyilinder itself or any of the other items I read about like rods, springs, etc?
UPDATE: The lock will work from the inside (I can lock and unlock the door inside the car). However, I cannot get into the car through the drivers side door from the outside when locked. I stick the key in and it doesnt turn just stays upright! Any new suggestions?

most of the time if lock turns freely there is a rod that goes from the cylinder to the door latch it has plastic clips that hold it in place check them i have seen them slide off and let the the rod fall out so lock will not work with the key
