How do I make a large shadow in a parking lot?

For our drama class we have to make short films. Our group has a scene where the protagonist is walking in a parking lot and he sees a large shadow. How can i make a large shadow in a dimly light place like a parking lot? I was thinking we could use a flashlight, but it wouldn’t really look natural, would it?

haha, a flashlight would look fine. if you have a white one, like those car lights, then it could resemble the moon?
