Lace Ribbon

What is that ribbon thing on the inside of my cardigan? How do I use for hanging with a hanger?

I have a cardigan with a piece of lace on the inside of the back. I’m wondering if this is some aid to hanging the cardigan on a hanger? I also have a shirt made of stretchy material with a loop of lace on the inside of each shoulder. How do I hang my cardigan and shirt using these ribbons?

When there is only one piece of ribbon on an item of clothing it is mainly so the cardigan hangs on the hanger better for display as customers often take things off the hangers and leave clothing half on/off etc. When you get the clothing home you can cut the ribbon off. When there is a ribbon on each shoulder of a top or dress it is to help the clothing hang without it slipping off the hanger. You can easily loop the ribbons over the main hook.
